You Met Me There

You met me on the floor in darkness, where I hid demons in my head.
I struggled with my pride, scared I had disappointed You again.
I landed on my knees as I fell, there You saw me as I knelt.
Unveiling my pride and dignity, I bared my darkest despair.
How did You uncover me, how did You see my hidden tears?
I’m afraid to come out of hiding, yet You seem not to care.
My soul is mourning, my anxiety turning into pure anguish.
You met me there. You saw me coming, and You met me there.

You’ve taken my heavy covering and made light of my disguise.
You loved me when my vile just couldn’t be compromised.
When my tears left their sacred ducts, You met me where they fell.
As I cried out, like a Psalm, You attended the voice of my prayer.
You didn’t hesitate, your mercy covered me, embracing my fear.
I cried, and You heard me. I longed and You touched the broken parts of me.
I enslaved myself to anxiety and You delivered me.
Your mercy knelt with me and Your grace answered, thank You, Lord.

Psalms 30:2 & 8 ... Psalms 66: 16-20 ... Psalms 120:1

That was a good poem! It paints a picture and uses very good vocabulary! I like it!!!
