Fear not, said the Lord, as He whispered to me.

I will not fear the challenges that approach me.

For He is my Redeemer, Provider of every need,

for in fear, I falter, but by trusting, I succeed.

Fear not the shadows that would try to obscure the light.

I will not fear darkness, even His shadow brings delight.

When night does come, as it always does,

it will not last, for it too shall pass.

Fear not the sudden onset of thick heavy rain.

I will not fear drowning, even when my lungs sting in pain.

I will allow myself to be watered, to be washed clean.

I’ll take shelter in the crevasse of His strong hands.

Fear not the wind though it will surely shift, stir, and shake me.

I will not fear the masked force that tests my integrity.

When devastation falls, my stride weakens, but He keeps me.

He is power, He who is in me is greater than thee.

Fear not sadness, for in sorrow He enriches our soil.

I will not fear, for I am well planted, I have room to grow.

When I can’t see, the dirt in my eyes has muddied my view.

I know this is the soil where His purpose plants and grows me.

Fear not those who would dare pluck my leaves away from me.

I will not fear illness, slander, or sad melodies of grief.

For my roots run deep. My roots are planted firmly,

they’ve learned to move through layers, anchoring to the rocks.

Oh, Father, how I trust where You have planted me,

how I trust your plans for me, how I trust in You.

Oh, Father, for You are He who orders my steps,

it is Your words that I carry, wear daily as armor,

from the thoughts in my head to the paces of my feet.

Oh, Father, capture and receive my full attention

as I capture and receive your full intention.

I won’t fear, for you are with me.
